网路乡民热烈追捧带动GameStop在内的多档「迷因股」(meme stock)大涨，俨然成为市场新兴投资领域，不过，曾被誉为债券天王的「老债王」葛洛斯(Bill Gross)周二(16日)表示他对做空GameStop深信不疑，已透过放空该赚进1000万美元，他并透露自己正在做空美国公债。
葛洛斯接受彭博采访时表示，在GameStop狂热期间，葛洛斯卖出履约价150美元与200美元的买权，尽管迷因股一度飙涨几乎赔掉他所有投入成本，但他仍确信该交易是正确之举，而最终也如愿以偿，在散户出走股价崩跌后赚进1000万美元。
葛洛斯说道，近期仍持续下注，目前已卖出履约价250美元和300美元的买权，认为现阶段是选择权卖方的绝佳投资契机。
今年1月，GameStop ( GME-US )在空头部位窜升期间出现轧空潮并飙涨1700%，原因是大量Reddit用户涌入逼空，迫使看空的机构与对冲基金被迫回补部位。
以GameStop为首的迷因股周二持续延续跌势，GameStop一度下跌16%，随后跌幅收敛，最终收盘报208.17美元，跌幅5.38%，AMC娱乐( AMC-US )则下跌7.13%，高斯电子( KOSS- US )跌近8%。
此外，葛洛斯也做空美债。他表示近几周美债遭遇抛售、10 年期美债殖利率走升至1.6%，债市熊市将会持续，未来通膨率将急剧上升，并导致联准会(Fed) 主席鲍尔被迫暂停原定保持低利率到2023 年的政策。
葛洛斯表示，目前通膨率仍低于2% ，但未来几个月内将上扬，届时可能高达3% 至4%。
葛洛斯过去40 年以投资债券闻名，曾是全球最大债券基金经理人。2014 年加入Janus Henderson Group 后绩效表现不如以往，随后于2019 年退休。
