美国财长耶伦（Janet Yellen）的言论对美元构成提振，她认为，提高利率对美联储决策者来说实际上是一件“好事”。
耶伦在伦敦七国集团（G7）财长会议结束后接受彭博社采访时表示，如果美国总统拜登的4万亿美元支出计划引发通货膨胀和加息，这没有关系。这位前美联储主席表示，拜登总统的一揽子计划每年总计支出将达到4000亿美元。她认为，这样的支出水平并不足以造成通胀过度。
耶伦表示：“如果我们最终的利率水平略微升高，从社会和美联储的角度来看，这实际上是一件好事。”耶伦曾领导过美联储，这也使得她的言论仍然具有相当大的分量。
