美国劳工荒正大幅推动薪资走高，通胀前景料成一场噩梦
美国将于本周发布5月份的月度消费物价指数（CPI）数据，其所指示的通胀水平将在相当程度上影响美联储后市的货币政策对策。在4月CPI超预期走高后，市场一度押注美联储将被迫考虑提早开始缩减QE规模，这令美元指数(90.1740, 0.0446, 0.05%)一度强力反弹，但在美联储官员强调通胀仅是“暂时性”状况之后，其货币政策预期便重归宽松，从而使得美元走势继续承压。
因而，本周若美国CPI继续走高，美联储此后在下周的会议决议中料仍会继续坚称此状况是因为今年以来因为经济重启，需求回升，而供给端反应不及所造成的暂时性错配，并会继续安抚市场称在年底之际市场供需就会重趋平衡，从而令物价走势重返正轨。在此同时，4-5月间整体仍不及预期强劲的就业数据，也会继续坚定美联储的宽松政策信心。
负责监测美国通胀率表现并适时做出政策反应的美联储过去数月以来一直强调，当前通胀走高的原因是因为美国经济在经历了疫情重启之后正处于重启的档口，在疫苗得到普遍注射，令疫情新感染与死亡规模都明显下降，从而令政府和卫生部门放松了公共场所的戒备等级后，此前积累的大量消费需求正在被补偿性地集中释放，这也暂时性推高了市场物价水平。于是，PCE通胀率同比水平在4月达到了13年高位3.6%。而业内专家同时预计，5月CPI将继续录得0.5%的环比升幅，令同比升幅从4月的4.2%进一步飙升至5.0%。
而在过去30年间，美国CPI同比升幅仅有两次超过5%，最近的一次发生在2008年，当时国际原油价格曾升至150美元/桶的历史高位。所以业内主流经济学家都认为，美国通胀率无法维持在如此高位，因为供需失衡局面料仅是暂时的，在突击补偿性消费高潮结束，且生产活动进一步步入正轨后，物价就回重归稳定，而据专家们估计，最晚到9月份美国劳动节假期过后，爆发性消费高潮就会过去，同时原材料端的生产秩序也将进一步恢复正常。
然而，最终推动美国通胀率持续走强的，并迫使美联储非采取紧缩行动而不可的，却恰恰可能来自就业数据领域：一旦薪资升幅持续超出预期，将会造成广泛而持久的额外通胀压力。虽然，就业人口本身增长不及预期令美联储仍认为维持超强力购债宽松措施是合理之举，但是就业增长低迷的原因却是因为民众求职意愿不足，这迫使企业界提高薪资待遇来填补用人缺口，这反过来意味劳动力成本上升对通胀率的倒逼将是在所难免。
事实上，过去两个月以来，一方面美国就业人口增长始终及不上分析人士的预测，一方面企业主却在抱怨其无法招聘到足够多的工人来实现业务全面恢复运转。这种状况下，一方面失业率仍处在相对高位，一方面空缺职位数量又达到了历史最高水平，这将迫使雇主大幅度，甚至极端性地提升薪资来试图填补职缺。最终，薪资的上涨将成为之后更广泛、更持久的通胀主动能，从而在明年之际令美联储再也无法继续稳坐钓鱼台在政策上以不变应万变。
而光在4-5月间，美国社会薪资的平均同比增速就达到7.4%，为历年正常水平的三倍之多。在一些低薪服务领域，薪资上涨状况尤为明显，这反过来也将推动相应服务的价格水涨船高，从而溢出到全社会的通胀率之中。而更糟糕的是，疫情的影响可能令许多年轻人延缓初次求职的计划，一些妇女也正因此退出职场重返家庭，这会进一步加强劳动力短缺状况，令薪资上行压力额外上行。
但造成通胀上行的原因还不仅仅是因为薪资走高，事实上，如果劳动生产率同步提升，那么薪资的上涨就是合理行为。但眼下的问题便是，在疫情的干扰下，雇主多支出的劳动成本并不能百分之百地被转化成生产力。而更糟糕的是，与原材料等成本不同，薪资一旦上升，就再也难以下降。于是，企业只好将薪资成本压力向下游转移，从而引发供应链上的连锁涨价潮，于是全社会物价齐齐上涨便水到渠成。
在此种状况下，美国经济所面临的通胀图景将与美联储当前预测的大相径庭，其2%通胀率控制目标将被实际CPI数字远远甩在身后，所谓通胀抬头只是“暂时”的说辞也将不攻自破。届时，美联储将在通胀进一步失控奔向天际，与采取强力紧缩措施重新窒息经济与就业活动之间，做出痛苦的二选一。而这就是当前俄罗斯和土耳其等国央行遭遇的困境。而无论如何，一旦出现了这样的状况，美股崩盘将在所难免，美国经济的国际信誉与美元的储备货币地位也将声誉扫地。
