连续5天超30万！专家：峰值远未到达
印度周一(4月26日)新增病例达35万，连续5天突破30万！医疗系统陷入瘫痪，最新预测显示，峰值远未到达，而各国都陆续承诺提供紧急医疗援助。
正当新一波新冠疫情肆虐之际，印度疫苗库存告急，加大了印度总理莫迪推行劳动人口疫苗接种计划的难度，也可能使这场全世界最严重的公共卫生危机持续得更久。
在金融中心孟买，由于疫苗供应不多，周一接种服务开始得比往常更晚。孟买市政当局在声明中称，该市还有足够未来三天使用的疫苗，但将优先供应打第二针的人。5月1日开始，供应短缺情况可能会更加严峻，因为政府计划届时放开18至45岁成年人的接种，目前仅45岁以上人群可以接种。
印度政府CoWin数据显示，该国接种数量从4月5日450万剂的峰值降至4月23日的86万剂左右。
印度自4月中以来新增病例升至约350万。美国收储某些关键原料也打击了印度疫苗生产。
美国总统拜登上周日（4月25日）在推文中表示将提供帮助。美国国家安全顾问杰克·沙利文的发言人Emily Horne在声明中称，印度生产的阿斯利康疫苗所需要的成分已经确定并将“立即提供”。
印度周一公布，过去24小时新增病例达创纪录的352991例，2812人死亡，已连续5天单日新增病例超过30万例，而实际死亡人数可能高得多。
新德里疾病动态、经济与政策中心主任Ramanan Laxminarayan称，这种严峻的状况可能会持续一个月左右。
Laxminarayan周一称：“最新的流行病学预测是，全国范围内再过两三周都不会达到峰值，现在所使用的预测是，峰值将可能是我们目前水平的三到四倍。”

印度周一命令其武装部队帮助应对新冠病毒感染激增的情况。与此同时，包括
英国、德国及美国等国家都承诺将给予紧急医疗援助，

世界卫生组织总干事谭德塞周一表示，全球人口第二大国--印度当前的新冠疫情超过“令人心碎”的程度，世卫组织正向印度增派人员和物资，帮助该国抗击疫情。
在与印度总理莫迪的会晤中，印度国防参谋长Bipin Rawat将军表示，氧气将从武装部队的储备仓库送往医院，退役的军队医务人员将加入新冠救治医疗机构。
一份政府声明称，在可能的情况下，将向平民开放军方的医疗基础设施。印度新冠病毒感染人数连续第五天创新高。
“航空、铁路、公路和海上；天上和地下，我们动用了所有力量来克服这波新冠疫情带来的挑战，”卫生部长Harsh Vardhan在推特上说。
莫迪表示，他已与美国总统拜登讨论了这场危机，讨论了新冠疫苗原材料和药物的供应链。拜登周日表示，美国将向印度运送医疗物资，以帮助抗击疫情。
