美联储可能会在8月这一重磅年会上释放缩债信号
有分析指出，美联储可能会在2021年下半年发出缩减量化宽松的信号，此举可能对全球市场产生影响。
瑞士信贷(10.41, -0.10, -0.95%)（Credit Suisse）表示，这一信号最有可能出现在8月份标志性的杰克逊霍尔（Jackson Hole）央行年会上，美联储将在2022年认真开始缩减购债规模。瑞士信贷澳大利亚策略师Damien Boey表示：
“我们认为，美联储关于‘通胀压力暂时论’和‘通胀预期无法锚定’的观点再无法令人信服。”
根据美联储的说法，要等到就业和通胀目标取得实质性进展它才会缩减量化宽松。
但近几个月以来，美联储的口风出现变化，开始跟其他几个央行一样，变得没那么鸽派了，这种转变对投资者而言很重要。博伊表示：
“如果美联储不‘掌控’缩债进度，债券市场收益率可能会因此上升，更高的通胀风险会反映在价格上。美联储应当坚持自己的调控，而非让市场来决定。”
另外，在通胀的判断方面，美联储的说法也不是很令人信服。
博伊指出，尽管美联储第三季度的共同通胀预期指数（Common Inflation Expectations index）与美联储目前的说法相符，即通胀压力是暂时的，通胀预期仍保持良好的稳定性。但实时“代理”数据显示，CIE指数已飙升至2.15%，是美联储1999年开始编制该指数以来的最高点。
上周，澳大利亚股市从创纪录高位回落，创下3个月来最大的3日跌幅。此前，随着大宗商品价格、美国CPI数据以及通胀预期飙升，澳大利亚股市出现更大跌幅。
尽管美国PPI数据强劲，但这并没有给予美股足够支撑。标普500波动率指数（VIX）一度从18飙升至29，之后才回落至19。美联储官员的安抚性言论以及美国零售销售和消费者信心数据疲软，缓解了股市的不安情绪。
股市的这波波动，让人们忽略了美联储CIE指数中基于消费者调查的通胀预期指标的飙升。
瑞士信贷（Credit Suisse）警告称，费城联储（Philadelphia Fed）发布的《专业预测者调查报告》上调通胀预期、消费者通胀预期以及近期美国盈亏平衡债券收益率飙升，似乎“没有受到美联储的关注”。瑞信表示：
“美国的货币政策正在脱离客观数据和政策规则的领域，公开进入主观性和政治性的领域。”
美联储对“提高通(128.91, -0.89, -0.69%)胀”的反应出现矛盾和含糊，即“从鸽派的角度解释得很好，但从鹰派的角度看似乎含糊不清。”博伊表示：
“具体而言，目前尚不清楚什么因素会引发缩债。官员们似乎在不断寻找新的理由，以避免采取用更强硬的语调表达。但官员和投资者们也知道，当通胀预期真正失控时，美联储将被逼到角落，不得不采取措施应对通胀风险。”
美联储强调，它计划在很长一段时间内逐步缩减量化宽松，并辩称缩减步伐放缓与其资产负债表的增长相一致。
因此，投资者可能会克服“缩表恐慌”（taper tantrum），相信美联储可能买入债券的说法。但博伊警告称，交叉资产估值的范围也远远超过上一次2013年“缩表”时期，这意味着，即便只是政策宽松方面的微小调整，投资者也更容易受到影响。
博伊表示，投资者最初可能会将缩减购债规模视为对经济增长有利的举措。因为这表明经济足够强劲，允许缩减购债规模，但随后会“出人意料地迅速”转为防御性资产。
他指出，截至今年4月的一年里，全球流动性下降，基于领先指标，VIX指数显著上升。而长期来看，债券的价值比其他任何资产类别都更具吸引力。因此，尽管通胀和政策不确定性可能在短期内打击债券，但从目前的估值和投资组合相关性来看，它们可能对其他资产类别造成更大伤害。
在他看来，风险回报正迅速转向债券和防御型股票。
摩根士丹利(86.97, -1.12, -1.27%)（Morgan Stanley）策略师也指出，在投资者对冲通胀的需求推动下，大宗商品出现了自上世纪70年代中期以来最强劲的12个月涨势。
他们认为，宏观利好因素很可能会持续下去。但在一些金属、大宗商品和谷物等领域，价格会高到脱离基本面。过去12个月，美国货币供应量的增长速度达到了1907年（不包括第二次世界大战）以来的最快水平。货币供应增长与经济复苏加速，推高了通胀预期。他们表示：
“当这些因素结合在一起时，大宗商品往往会表现突出。从中长期来看，这将支撑未来几年大宗商品的结构性投资主题。但在短期内，大宗商品的价格已经超出供应、需求、库存和边际成本等基本面因素可以解释的水平。”
此外，在经历了过去60年来第二强劲的反弹之后，大宗商品的风险/回报前景“开始恶化”，尤其是考虑到通胀盈亏平衡“已经估值过高”（收益率过低），而美元未来一段时间的强势（尽管幅度不大）又将到来。
尽管宏观经济有利因素可能会继续，但许多市场正面临下半年回调的威胁。摩根士丹利预计年底前大宗商品价格将呈现下行趋势，特别是在铁矿石、基本金属和贵金属、粮食、欧洲天然气和液化天然气方面，而石油、美国天然气和糖价格相较而言更具有韧性。
