Alphabet ( GOOGL-US )周二稍早表示，将调降Google Play商店的app收费。数月前，苹果( AAPL-US )在批评其app商店收费高昂的声浪下，也宣布调降App Store收费。
消息宣布后，Alphabet周二上涨29.45美元或1.43%，收2083.89美元。
根据Alphabet发布的部落格文章，自7月1日起，Android开发商透过Google Play app商店进行的数位销售，头100万美元以内收取15%费用，超过100万美元以后的销售，Google则收取销售额的30%。
苹果的作法也类似，年销售额不到100万美元的小公司可向苹果申请减免15% app佣金，但一旦在App Store的销售额超过100万美元时，收费就恢复到原本抽佣30%的制度。该作法公布时，苹果正受美国联邦贸易委员会(FTC)和其他监管单位针对App Store的反垄断调查。
谷歌在部落格文章说，99% app 开发商都将享受到费用减半的政策。
Sensor Tower估计Google Play去年营收116亿美元，若该政策去年生效，谷歌会因此损失5.87亿美元，约占5%。
同样，Sensor Tower估计苹果的App Store去年营收217亿美元，若该政策去年生效，苹果会损失5.95亿美元，约占2.7%。
Sensor Tower 的估计凸显出，app 是一种胜者几乎全拿的事业，虽然苹果和谷歌的新政策将有助于大量的小型app 开发商，但事实上app 商店中获利最多的开发商仍会持续支付销售额30% 的佣金。
Epic Games 执行长Tim Sweeney 周二也在回应谷歌新政策时，发表类似观点。该公司正在控告苹果和谷歌，试图要求他们让app 商店允许第三方支付处理器以及其他一些变动。
