6月9日，市场分析师Holly Ellyatt撰文称，美国和英国两国领导人将在本周末G7峰会开幕前，于当地时间周四（6月10日）在英国康沃尔地区先行会议，以商讨并巩固两国之间在贸易、旅游和科技等领域的联系。这也是美国总统拜登上任之后首次对欧洲国家进行的出访。

美英领导人本周会谈拟达成的协议预计将包括：恢复英国和美国之间的双边旅游活动、促进贸易以及一项旨在促进英国和美国科技公司合作的“里程碑式”技术协议。
协议还将应对更近期的挑战，如应对网络攻击构成的威胁、采取行动应对气候变化、保护生物多样性，以及努力结束疫情并帮助经济从疫情中恢复。
约翰逊和拜登预计将在周四就一系列新的政策重点达成一致，包括努力尽快开放英国和美国之间的旅行，英国表示，拜登和约翰逊还将寻找加强两国经济关系的方法，“包括通过解决民用飞机争端”，并重申希望结束美国和欧洲之间长期存在的有关波音和空客的关税争端，
预计两国领导人还将同意在2022年签署“具有里程碑意义的双边技术协议”。
